Leon Young: Bio

Even amongst some of the most glorious landscapes and territories in all of God’s creation, Montana has not been a hot-spot of musical creativity. Leon Young has emerged as one of the best singer/songwriters to ever come out of the state. Growing up in Glendive, MT, Leon began at an early age to appreciate music as a way to express himself. He started singing solos in church at age 5, piano lessons at 8, picked up drums and percussion in fifth grade, and by junior high school, he had taught himself to play acoustic and bass guitar. It is at this time that Leon started seriously writing music as well. His career and mission had begun. Since then, he has recorded four albums and gained fans across the Northwest. Leon’s newest release, ‘HOPE’, is more than a new album with new music. It is a real and true attempt to spread the message of Jesus, which is the only real message of hope, to a world that is in desperate need of it. Leon and his wife, Charlie, live in Lolo, MT.  They have two daughters, Chloe and Lexie, a son Jackson, and are expecting their 4th to arrive in July!  Leon serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship at South Hills Evangelical Church in Missoula.
