Tour and Pandora Updates
-
May 10, 2011
With tour just one week away, make sure to check out the dates we currently have and if you are close, I look forward to seeing you on the road! The schedule is updated on the 'Calendar'. Also we are still hoping for a couple venues in Washington to open their doors to us May 25-27. Other than those 3 days, we are pretty much booked solid, praise God! And on top of playing about 10 different concerts/services in MT, ID and WA, we currently have two worship workshop events on the schedule as well! I am very excited for these next few weeks to see what God will do!
One other update is that my music is now on Pandora! This is very exciting! If you are already a Pandora user, or you want to give it a shot, check out the Leon Young station! Just search for 'Leon Young' or your favorite song from 'HOPE' and you are set. And if Pandora is not your thing, my music is also on Grooveshark. So however you listen to music online, I've got you covered! And remember, you can always purchase 'HOPE' from itunes or CDbaby.
Blessings!

Rock and Worship Roadshow!!
-
February 18, 2011
So I found out today that I am a finalist to play at the Rock and Worship Roadshow here in Missoula on Friday, March 4th! SOS Radio held a 'Battle of the Bands' contest to determine the winner, so I sent in a song at hoped for the best. Scott at SOS said they had over 100 entries from all over the country and today they narrowed it down to four. On Monday morning at 7:35 (Mountain time) my interview with him will be aired, and they will play the song I sent in, which was "You Are the One". If you can, take a listen! If you're outside of the SOS listening area, you can catch it live at www.sosradio.net. I guess the winner will probably be selected by Friday next week.
Pretty sweet, wanted you all to know!
Spring Tour Announced
-
February 15, 2011
I am excited to announce that we have locked in the dates for a spring tour and are beginning to book it! The dates for this tour are May 11-22 and the main areas we are trying to hit this time around are western Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. If you have an interest in having us visit your church, ministry, school, or grandmother's house, please drop us a line and we can get started!
I am also very excited to announce that Brandon Bee and his band will be joining me once again on this run. Brandon's new record is coming out in April, which is very exciting! Check out his music and ministry at brandonbeemusic.com. As part of this tour, along with a God-glorifying, Jesus-centered worship concert, we would really love to be used in any way possible to provide training and encouragement to your worship staff and volunteers. This could be as simple as a meet and greet for 30 minutes before the concert or as complicated as sticking around for an extra day to put on a 4-hour worship seminar. We love the church and God has been so gracious to teach us so many things over the last few years. If sharing what God has been teaching us could be a benefit to the people who lead worship at your church week in and week out, then we would love for that to happen.
We would love to visit your church/ministry, to lead you in worship, and to encourage your worship staff/volunteers, and we trust that if the Lord wills it, we can work it out.

Just not our time yet...

September 12, 2010
So LifeLight was incredible this year! Let me tell you about it...a lot of it came down to the time slot we were given. We played at 1pm on Sunday (Sept. 5th). The morning service got done about 12:15 so people had time to grab something to eat and come back to the "Triple Shot Cafe" to hear our set. But the amazing thing was that the act right after us was a Q and A with Barlow Girl, so towards the end of our set, the place was packed tight with around 500 people! And on top of that, the Barlow Girl gals were late so we got to play two extra songs right on top of their time slot! The band was tight, the sound was great, and the crowd really dug the music. It was really cool!
A couple days later, on our way back home, I got a call from Nich at LifeLight, who headed up the Talent Search portion of the festival, and he dropped the news. We won. Biggest festival in the nation with over 150,000 people, 5 great bands chosen from over 20 that were initially in the running, and we won! Nich said we were invited to come to Nashville for the finals event just 12 days from when I received the phone call. This event would be an opportunity to play a song or two for a panel of Word Records representatives along with 15 other finalists from festivals all over the country, all competing in the hopes of landing a development contract with Word. A very cool opportunity!
So now the point of my story. After much thought, prayer, and discussion, I declined the offer. Why? A couple practical reasons, with just 12 days notice it would have been difficult to pull off and would've cost over $2,000 to fly the band down there. Also it wouldn't really be fair to the church to be gone another Sunday so quickly after our tour and schedule-wise, there was a lot going on at church that weekend. But all of those difficulties could no doubt have been overcome. We could have worked out the flights and all the scheduling issues and probably even raised the $2,000. But I believe there is a bigger reason why I declined the offer...the timing just wasn't right. I believe God is cultivating and arranging amazing things right now for future days. And I think that when it's right, it's going to feel right, and it's going to be amazing! I believe that with all my heart. I believe that this little opportunity right here, though there would have been nothing wrong with taking it, was a distraction to all that God is preparing us for and the path that He has got us on.
I am so stoked to be on God's team, to be in His will, and to be carried in His hands! I am pumped for what is to come and honored to carry what I am called to today...to surrender all to Christ, to love and lead my family well, and to serve God's Church. And I believe that everything God wants to bring to fruition in my life will come in His perfect timing as I focus on what He has for me right now.
God is good.

God has been really gracious in lining up this tour in such short time and I'd like to thank all the pastors and ministry leaders for taking a chance with us and inviting us to play in your town.
Please pray for us on our trip and I hope to see you on the road!

New site
-
August 3, 2010
Hey everybody! Welcome to the new site.
As I have said to several people over the last week, my website has always been the "black hole" of the ministry. It seems it's just always been hard for me to keep things updated and stay connected with people. My hope is for that to change now! With this new format, I can easily access everything on the site and will update as needed, and blog and journal often to keep you in the loop.
So come back often and say hi!
